Commissioned portrait design and sports photography in Sacramento.

People, honestly seen.

Whether I’m creating a portrait or photographing someone in the middle of the action, I’m looking for the same thing: the moments when people are unmistakably themselves.

PORTRAITS
A thoughtfully designed experience resulting in artwork created for your home.

SPORTS
Focused coverage of the effort, emotion, and moments that make the experience worth remembering.

COMMISSIONED PORTRAITS

You tell me who this person is. I design a picture that shows it, and we decide together what it becomes and where it hangs.

SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY

I photograph what happens as it happens. Your athlete, your team, or the event your organization produces.

Tell me who they are. I'll make the picture that shows it.

Most portraits show you what someone looks like. I would rather make one that shows what they are about.

A senior who loves to cook, photographed in a kitchen that feels like his. A kid whose whole world right now is astronomy, in an image built around the thing he cannot stop thinking about. This is where senior portraits and family legacy portraits come from in Sacramento: a senior year documented as the person your kid actually is, or a family portrait session built to hang on the wall for decades. Whatever makes this person themselves, that is what we design the picture around.

That is the part most people do not expect. You do not have to arrive knowing what you want. You tell me about them, and I will show you something you had not pictured.

Your kid's season, made into something you keep.

Designed for your home. Created for your legacy.

If the moment mattered enough to hire a photographer, it should not end up in the same place as your phone photos.

So we do not stop at the pictures. We sit down together and decide what becomes wall art, what becomes an album, what your kid takes with them when they move out. My dad treasured photographs until the day he died at ninety-seven , and I have never forgotten what it does to a house when the people you love are on the walls.

They grow up and they go. This is how you keep them here.

Whether they're the best out there or giving it everything they have.

My favorite thing is watching a parent see their kid look good. Strong, capable, entirely themselves, and a little like who they are becoming.

It does not have to be a field, either. Plenty of kids are somewhere else, playing an instrument or making things or quietly becoming themselves . All of it deserves the same picture.

If it matters to them, it is worth photographing properly.

Is this a fit for your?

  • There is someone in your life whose story deserves to be preserved.

  • You want them to see themselves the way you see them.

  • You want something on your wall, not four hundred files you never open.

  • You have been meaning to do this for years and keep procrastinating.

  • You would rather tell me about the person than hand me a shot list.

This Is for You If:

  • You want a quick session with all the images included.

  • You are looking for a mini session.

  • You want someone to meet you at a random park and take a few pictures.

This Is Not for You If:

Ready when you are.

How do I get started?

You tell me about the person, or about what is coming up. A senior year. A season. Your parents, while everyone is still here. Someone who has never once had a picture that looks like who they actually are.

Then we get on a call. I want to hear about them before I talk about anything else, because I cannot design a picture of someone I do not know yet. I will tell you what I would recommend and what it costs, and if it is a fit, we get you on the calendar.
